EBR Performance

League City is basically the unofficial start line for our whole season. We make the drive down to EBR Performance because that is where the bikes are finally waiting for us. It is not a place where we gear up to moto, but it is the most important stop on the map before we hit the dirt. We are stopping here to link up with the crew that makes sure our equipment is actually ready for the level we are trying to ride at this year. If the bikes are not right at this stage, the rest of the trip does not really matter.
The guys at EBR have been doing this for twenty seven years, so they have seen every possible way a bike can succeed or fail. Josh and his team handle all our engine work and suspension tuning. They coordinate with Altus Motorsports, which is the Yamaha dealer that handles getting the actual machines into the shop. It is a solid setup because Altus gets the bikes there and then EBR immediately tears into them to make them race ready. You are not just getting a bike off a showroom floor with some fresh oil. You are getting a platform that has been dialed specifically for how I ride and how Kyle rides.
When we pull the rig into the lot, it is always a massive adrenaline hit. We walk into the shop and see the new Yamahas sitting there looking perfect. We spend the afternoon going over the builds and making sure the ergonomics are set up for our height. We talk through the suspension settings and what they did with the mapping. It is a lot of technical talk, but it is stuff you need to know if you want to be fast. We get the sag set and make sure every bolt is torqued. It is a hands on day that bridges the gap between having a bike and having a real race machine.
Having this kind of support is what keeps us in the hunt. When you are hitting a big triple or coming into a corner hot, you cannot have any doubt about what the bike is going to do. EBR has decades of data and experience, which gives me a lot of confidence when I finally click it into gear. This stop is about building that trust. We leave League City with the best equipment possible, knowing that Altus and EBR have our backs for every gate drop coming up.
