I'm Reid Oehring, #727. I race amateur motocross with EBR Performance. I'm sharing the race days, the training, and the work that goes into getting faster.
I'm still traveling and training with Kyle Swanson of Kyle's Krew. EBR Performance is my race team; Kyle continues to coach me on the road. Since August, I've raced the Texas State Championship rounds at Iron Dog, Rafter S, and Murphy's, then the Motoplayground Race at Ponca City.
After Ponca, the focus is a seven-week training block at Southern Training Facility in Georgia with Kyle before Mini O's. I'm skipping the rest of the Texas State Championship series to focus on that preparation.
Ponca brought a second-place finish in 450 C and fifth in 250 C. At Murphy's, I finished second in Schoolboy 2 and third in 250cc C. Iron Dog was a tougher weekend: the engine blew and cut my racing short. That setback led us to move to EBR Performance as my race team. Mechanical failures are a disappointing part of racing, but they happen. We accept the reality, move forward, and get ready for the next race.
